Tom Evans retired in January 2010 as President of The Felton Bank, a subsidiary of Shore Bancshares, Inc. of Easton, Maryland. Prior to joining The Felton Bank, He worked for Bank of America and its predecessor, Maryland National Bank, for 27 years. He previously served on the Board of the United Way and is a past member of The Greater Salisbury Committee and the Rotary Club of Salisbury.
He currently serves on the Board of the YMCA of the Chesapeake and is chairman of their capital fundraising committee. He also serves on the Board of the Resource Recovery Center in Wicomico County.
Stephen R. Farrow
Steve Farrow retired in 2018 from the position of President/CEO of Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines. He was with the airline for more than 30 years and prior to that served as an officer in the US Navy for 21 years. Farrow is a graduate of Dartmouth College and a native of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the board of Coastal Hospice, Salisbury University Foundation and the United Way Foundation.
Gordon D. Gladden
Gordon Gladden retired in 2004 as President of Avery W. Hall Insurance Agency, Inc. having worked there 32 years. A community leader, Gordon served as President of The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, President of The Rotary Club of Salisbury, President of Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development and Chairman of The Board of Trustees at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He is an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury and has also served as a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program for more than 15 years. Gordon has been a trustee of the Richard A Henson Foundation since 1992.
Victor H. Laws, III
Vic is a partner in the law firm of Laws, Insley & Benson, P.A. and has been a practicing attorney since 1978, with a concentration in business, real estate and civil litigation. He graduated from Wicomico County Schools, Brown University and the University of Maryland School of Law. He is on the Board of Directors for Hebron Savings Bank, and a member of the Salisbury Award Committee, Salvation Army Advisory Board, Wicomico Rotary Club, and Asbury United Methodist Church. Previous community activities include; service as a United States Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court of Maryland, Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Greater Salisbury Committee, Leadership Maryland, and coach to the James M. Bennett High School mock trial team. Vic is a past President of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and past Chairman of the Wicomico County Task Force, which helped to bring minor league baseball to the Eastern Shore.
Gregory J. Olinde
Greg Olinde is an Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at 1880 Bank. He joined the bank in January 2013, having started his career in banking and business in 1993. He is a member of the Executive Advisory Council to the Perdue School of Business and Salisbury University and a member of the Board of Directors for MBA Solutions, a subsidiary of the Maryland Bankers Association. He graduated from Salisbury University’s Henson School of Science & Technology in 1990 and Perdue School of Business and Maryland Banking School in 1992. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Maryland Banking School.
Jon Sherwell retired in 2018 from M & T Bank where he served as an Administrative Vice President. A life-long native of the Eastern Shore, prior to merger with M & T Bank, Jon worked for the former First National Bank of Maryland/Allfirst Bank. He served as President of the United Way of the Eastern Shore, President of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Greater Salisbury Committee and on the board of the Wicomico County Board of Education. Past board memberships include Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development, Junior Achievement, Mid-Delmarva YMCA, the Salvation Army and Wicomico County Executive’s Council of Economic Advisors. He is a graduate of Western Maryland College (McDaniel College), the Maryland Bankers School-College Park, attended classes at Salisbury University and completed the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Bank Leadership Executive Education Program.
Thomas L. Trice, IV
Tom Trice is a certified public accountant and a founding member of the TGM Group LLC, a local CPA firm based in Salisbury, Maryland. He has practiced public accounting for over 47 years. He is a former member and past president of the Greater Salisbury Committee, Leadership Maryland, and Board of Visitors at The University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Tom is a graduate of Western Maryland College.
Donna S. Altvater
Donna. Altvater is the Executive Director of the Richard A. Henson Foundation, a position she has held since 1999. She also manages the day-to-day operations of the Greater Salisbury Building. She has more than 41 years of business administration experience in the public, private and non-profit sector.
Trustees of the Richard A. Henson Foundation, Inc. are involved in many community activities as volunteers, donors, and members of boards and advisory committees. The Foundation requires disclosure by trustees of involvement in organizations applying to the Foundation. They must also abstain from voting on the application of any organization in which they are involved.
