Thomas Evans
Trustee
Tom Evans retired in January 2010 as President of The Felton Bank, a subsidiary of Shore Bancshares, Inc. of Easton, Maryland. Evans graduated from Bonaventure University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Prior to joining The Felton Bank, he worked for Bank of America and its predecessor, Maryland National Bank, for 27 years. He previously served on the Board of United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore and is a past member of The Greater Salisbury Committee, the Rotary Club of Salisbury and past chairman of the Board of the Mid-Delmarva YMCA and American Cancer Society.
He currently serves on the Board of the YMCA of the Chesapeake and is on the finance committee and the fundraising committee. He also serves on the Board of the Recovery Resource Center in Wicomico County and the Lower Shore Advisory Council for the Del-Mar-Va Council of Scouting America.
Stephen R. Farrow
Trustee
Steve Farrow retired in 2018 from the position of President/CEO of Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines. He was with the airline for more than 30 years and prior to that served as an officer in the US Navy for 21 years. Farrow is a graduate of Dartmouth College and a native of Pennsylvania. Mr. Farrow is a member of the Greater Salisbury Committee. He currently serves on the Boards of Coastal Hospice, Salisbury University Foundation, and United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore.
Cynthia MacDonald
Trustee
Cynthia MacDonald practices law with her husband, Andrew, at MacDonald Law Office, LLC, in Salisbury, Maryland, concentrating in estate and business planning and civil and criminal litigation involving fiduciaries and other professionals. Cindy is active in the community, presently serving on the St. Francis de Sales Catholic School Endowment Committee, the Board of Directors for Hudson Health Services and as Chair of the John B. Parsons Foundation Board of Trustees. She also serves as an attorney coach for the Parkside High School Mock Trial Team. She lives with her husband, Andrew, and their two children in Salisbury, Maryland.
Susanne Holloway
Trustee
Susanne Holloway, CPA is a Professor of the Practice in Accounting at Salisbury University, a position she has held since 2006. Susanne has over 20 years of experience working in a regional public accounting firm. For the Perdue School of Business, Susanne serves as a member of the Student Development Committee. Acting as an advisor and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society for AACSB schools, Susanne is also a lifetime member of Beta Alpha Psi, the honor society for financial information professionals. Susanne received the Excellence in Academic Advising Award in 2009 and the Excellence in Teaching Award for the Perdue School of Business in 2014. She is an active volunteer for the Wicomico County 4-H program and several other community organizations. A Wicomico County native, Susanne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Salisbury University.
Victor H. Laws, III
Trustee
Victor Laws III is a partner in the law firm of Laws, Insley & Benson, P.A. and has been a practicing attorney since 1978, with a concentration in business, real estate, and civil litigation. He graduated from Wicomico County Schools, Brown University, and the University of Maryland School of Law. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Hebron Savings Bank, and a member of the Salisbury Award Committee, Wicomico Rotary Club, and Asbury United Methodist Church. Previous community activities include service as a United States Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court of Maryland, Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Greater Salisbury Committee, Leadership Maryland, member of the advisory Board for Salvation Army and coach to the James M. Bennett High School mock trial team. Vic is a past President of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and past Chairman of the Wicomico County Task Force, which helped to bring minor league baseball to the Eastern Shore.
Gregory J. Olinde

Greg Olinde is an Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer, and the Delmarva Market President for Bay Vanguard Bank. He joined the bank, formerly 1880 Bank, in January 2013, having started his career in banking and business in 1993. He is a member of the Board of Directors for MBA Solutions, a subsidiary of the Maryland Bankers Association and a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals for the city of Fruitland. He graduated from Salisbury University’s Henson School of Science & Technology in 1990, earned an MBA from Perdue School of Business and graduated from Maryland Banking School and RMA Commercial Lending.
Jon Sherwell
Trustee
Jon Sherwell retired in 2016 from M & T Bank where he served as an Administrative Vice President. Jon is a life-long native of the Eastern Shore. Prior to its merger with M & T Bank, Jon worked for the former First National Bank of Maryland/Allfirst Bank. He served as President of the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, President of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Greater Salisbury Committee, now a lifetime member, and on the board member of the Wicomico County Board of Education. Past board memberships include Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development, Junior Achievement, Mid-Delmarva YMCA, the Salvation Army, and Wicomico County Executive’s Council of Economic Advisors. He is a graduate of Western Maryland College (McDaniel College), the Maryland Bankers School-College Park, attended classes at Salisbury University and completed the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Bank Leadership Executive Education Program.
Stacey McMichael
Executive Director
Stacey McMichael has 12 years of leadership experience working with local nonprofits and over 20 years’ experience of small business ownership and management. She has lived on the Eastern Shore for more than 40 years and has worked closely with community leaders to develop strategies and resources to impact local vulnerable populations. She is a graduate of James M. Bennett Senior High and the University of Maryland College Park with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. She attended classes at Salisbury University and received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Purchase College. Previously she was a member of the Rotary Club of Salisbury, served as a member of its Board of Directors and chaired the program and scholarship committees. She is a member of the Greater Salisbury Committee and resides in Berlin, Maryland.
Trustees of the Richard A. Henson Foundation, Inc. are involved in many community activities as volunteers, donors, and members of boards and advisory committees. The Foundation requires disclosure by trustees of involvement in organizations applying to the Foundation. They must also abstain from voting on the application of any organization in which they are involved.
